My new kitchen is huge! They installed the lower cabinets in the kitchen today. Still missing a few drawer fronts and doors. The uppers will go in in two weeks. It's even better than I imagined it would be.

The sink and dishwasher will go in the peninsula. My view when I wash the dishes will be out at the lake. 

This is the backside of the island. It will have an overhang for island seating.

This is the alcove for the refrigerator. There's a small cabinet next to it. There will be an upper cabinet as well. Thinking this might become an electronics charging station. 

This is the backside of the kitchen cabinets. It opens to the family room. The drawers and drawer fronts haven't been installed yet, but this will give us a lot of storage and display space in the family room. 

Drywall and Paint

The drywall has been installed, the mudding and taping done, and the first coats of paint applied.

Upstairs game room. We bought the pool table. Can't wait to have it delivered.

Tile

They laid the tile in two of the bathrooms today. The put down the heated floor in the master bath today and will lay that tile tomorrow. They also put the tile down in front of the fireplace. They will install a smaller version of the same tile around the fireplace.

It's been a while since I've posted. Progress has been VERY slow. We won't be spending Easter in our new home this year. Should be in by the end of April.

Siding and Trim

It's amazing how different the color looks depending on where I stand. The green is the siding, the cream is the trim color. Can't wait to see them on the house .

Inspections are done! Now the siding and drywall can go on.

Updated Finishes

Spent the week running around South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, and Bremen but it was time well spent. We ordered the fireplace insert, the interior doors and trims, and have made flooring, and back splashes. Still mulling over a few choices but we're getting close. The color isn't great in the pictures. Not pleased with the color in the pictures. They look much better up close.
